Feeding Hope, Funding Shelter

At Created to Care our mission is to love the unloved, help the helpless, and bring hope to the hopeless. We are a Christian non-profit organization who believes in The Word of God, and our mission is aligned with Biblical words stated in Psalm 82:3: “Defend the poor and the fatherless: Do justice to the afflicted and needy.”

We strive to help homeless individuals living on the streets, by providing food and necessities that they otherwise would not have the ability to obtain. Our board members are comprised of mothers who believe that we are the hands and feet of Jesus and no one, no matter their situation should go without the items that are needed to survive daily. Your support furthers our plan to purchase a food truck to provide freshly made food to homeless individuals at no cost.

Are donations tax-deductible?

If you need a tax receipt, we’ll email one after your gift (PayPal/Zeffy receipts are automatic; Zelle donors, please include your email in the memo). For employer matching, check your company’s giving portal or HR.

Can I donate items instead of money?

Yes—high-need items include bottled water, socks, travel-size toiletries, wipes, blankets, and ready-to-eat snacks. Contact us to confirm current needs and drop-off details.

How are funds used?

We prioritize direct services: food and water distribution, hygiene kits, and shelter-pathway support. A small portion covers logistics so volunteers can reach more people safely.

Is there an age requirement to volunteer?

For most outreach events, volunteers under 18 should be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Check each event listing for any specific requirements.

Do you provide long-term housing?

We don’t operate shelters ourselves, but we help people connect to housing programs and services. Our role is to meet immediate needs and open pathways to safe, stable options.

What’s the “food truck” outreach goal?

We’re working toward a mobile food program to expand meal service across high-need areas. Your support helps us fund the vehicle, permits, and ongoing operations.
